A small Old Babylonian administrative town of the kingdom of Eshnunna, now inside Baghdad al-Jadida.
It yielded a copy of the Laws of Eshnunna, older than Hammurabi’s code, mathematical tablets with advanced geometry problems, and terracotta lions that guarded its temple.
